Weekend with Nani Mariana Gonzalo from Mar del Plata , Argentina

MMTango har the pleasure of inviting Nani Mariana to Stockholm from April 22 until April 26.

There will be technic workshops for both leaders and followers (all levels) both on Friday April 22 Saturday April 23 in Bergshamra.

Workshops: Friday 22/4 kl 18-19:30 Technic for both leader and followers Part 1

Saturday 23/4 12-14 Technic for both leader and followers Part 2

Saturday 23/4 15-18 Group classes Part 1 both tango (giros with sacadas and entradas) and milonga (quick feet and good contact exercises). Each class approx. 1h30min.

Sunday 24/4 13-14:30 Technic for both leader and followers Part 3 15-17 Group classes Part 2 both in tango and milonga. Each class approx. 1h30min.

Mariana Gonzalo (Nani) started her Tango career in 1991 with Nito and Elba García and she improved her style with the Masters Fabián Salas, Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne, Mariano “Chicho” Frúmboli, Lucía Mazer and Mauricio Castro. In addition Mariana got a degree in Physical Education as well as many years as a Jazz Dance and Pilates teacher. She has worked professionally as a dancer, choreographer and teacher in different places such as: Argentina (National Technological University- World Tango Championship in Harrods, World Championship Seven of Rugby- ESPN), Amores Tangos show and DVD 2012,13 and 14 (guest dancer) Panama (Argentinian Festival- Intercontinental Hotel ) US (University of Michigan, La Belle Epoque-NY, The Henry Ford Museum- Detroit) Norway (Stavanger Tango Verksted,TV Vest, Kapittel Literature Festival together with Per Arne Glorvigen and University of Stavanger, Vestre Aker Strykeorkester 50 years jubileum, Tango alla Prøysen! Exhibition Nasjonalbiblioteket Oslo) Mariana has joined remarkable tango people assisting them at videoclips and educational videos like Pablo Verón, Fabián Salas, Carolina del Rivero and Mauricio Castro. She also worked on stage shows with such dancers as Daniel Nacucchio (World Tango Champion), Ollantay Rojas, Donato Juarez and Claudio Fortes among others. She has worked at CITA 2004, 2005 and 2008: Congreso Internacional de Tango Argentino (www.cosmotango.com) - Buenos Aires- Argentina As choreographer and author in 2007 she has created her own tango show “Los sueños” played at Colón Theater in Argentina together with her own Company: Tangonzalo In December 2012 she has been honored in a special Tango night where they celebrated her 20 professional Tango years- Auditorium Theater- Argentina.
